Kati Clark
Director
As Director of Timespan, Kati works with the voluntary Board of Directors to develop and agree strategies for the activities and development of Timespan, and then works with the staff team to implement those strategies. Kati also leads staff and volunteers in developing new projects and areas of work, and is the main contact point for Timespan with funders and stakeholders such as The Highland Council, Museums Galleries Scotland, Creative Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
Katy Kitchingham
Centre Manager
Katy is responsible for the day to day management of Timespan and its fantastic volunteer team. Katy looks after our building, manages our front of house operation and cafe and looks after all our volunteers. If you would like to join our volunteer team, she is the person to speak to!
Caroline Kelly
Finance Officer and Front of House Assistant
You will find Caroline working hard at our reception desk and looking after all the unusual goodies in our shop. Caroline is also responsible for all things financial. Finance includes monitoring income and spending and preparing budget reports for funders.
Jacquie Aitken
Archive Officer
Our archive is a great source of information on our surrounding area and Jacquie is responsible for collecting and archiving this information. Jacquie’s role includes working with local researchers on investigating our local history, archiving and digitising information and pictures and arranging heritage-based activities. Jacquie also assists in interpreting our core museum collection and ensuring all artefacts are documented and recorded correctly.

Jean Sargent, Chairperson
Expertise: Science, project management, Local heritage, fundraising
After graduating in 1973, Jean entered the world of cancer research, specialising in cell biology. She pioneered a technique to identify resistance to chemotherapy in patients before treatment. This led to her presenting her work at international level. She ran a cancer research laboratory for 18 years involving project management, fundraising and staff management. She served on the board of a cancer research charity for 12 years. After taking early retirement, Jean lives locally and has a great interest in the diverse heritage to be found in the area.
Alison MacDonald, Secretary
Expertise: Human Resources
Alison MacDonald is an HR Business Partner at Scottish Natural heritage. She is responsible for ensuring Companies House has up to date information on the organisation, which includes filing of Company statutory information, such as the organisation’s Annual Return, Appointment, Change and Termination of Directors. Alison advises the Board on any strategic HR issues within the company and supports the Development Director on operational HR within Timespan.
Catriona Whitfield, Treasurer
Expertise: Accountancy, Law
Catriona Whitfield is responsible for ensuring the correct finance records, policies and procedures are in place. Catriona has a degree in law and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991. She has a professional background in audit, investigations, dispute resolution and commercial litigation. She is currently a member of the Scottish Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and of the Scottish Charity Appeals Panel. She is also a trustee of an educational charity in Sutherland and was for four years a member of board of management of North Highland College.
Sue Pirnie
Expertise: Arts & Strategic Management, Public funding, (Arts Committee member)
Sue Pirnie is a visual arts development specialist working in policy and strategy development, organisational development, event design and management and project management from exhibitions to public art. Her role at Timespan is as a board member – contributing strategic planning advice, and as a member of the Visual Arts Committee – advising on and informing programme planning.

Expertise: Engineering, Project management
Christine Cowie
Expertise: Formal and further Education, local heritage
Victoria Reeves
Expertise: PR & Marketing, Visual Arts, fundraising
Glenn Paton
Expertise: Formal Education
