Timespan hosts up to three artist residencies each year.
One is in partnership with the Royal Scottish Academy and we host the other two ourselves.

In 2009 Timespan commissioned Jenny Brownrigg, Exhibitions Director of Glasgow School of Art, and Claudia Zieske, Director of Deveron Arts, to write a curatorial research report to support our development of an ambitious, exciting and sustainable visual arts programme over the 2011-2013 period. As a result of this research and further discussions, the main programme theme is ‘bridging’ arts and local area/community interests. As part of this programme, artists in residence are invited to work with community members and the museum resources to identify distinctive ideas and local-global issues.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a RSA residency, please contact us to discuss your proposal.
