Come and join in our torch lit procession, led by pipes and drums to the site of 2 bonfires where we will release sky lanterns, listen to old stories and music. BBQ for snacks.

Come and join Carrie Fertig in the Ice House as she sits at a lone burner blowing glass bubbles. You can put spoken or written words or objects into the bubbles whick are tied to the ceiling reflecting more & more light & fire until the Ice House is full of light and spirit.

Explore the ancient techniques of Japanese Raku Firing and Scottish Pit Firing with Alison Weightman. Make your pots on day 1, then fire them on Day 2. There will also be a High(land)Tea Ceremony at 4pm on the 1st.

Meet tapestry artist Joan Baxter in the Timespan Gallery to find out more about her craft.

 

Making Earrings

Wednesday 26th May 10am - 4pm

Gilly Langton Contemporary Jewellery workshop

Gilly Langton is a contemporary jewellery designer based in Plockton. She exhibits extensively on an international level, selling her silver and elastic jewellery as well as teaching her craft to others.

Gilly will be hosting a jewellery course in Making Earrings, teaching you basic jewellery skills to create your own pair of earrings. Techniques include soldering, piercing, doming, drilling and polishing in either copper or silver.

Silver can be purchased from Gilly, once you have designed your piece.
The course will include tuition, refreshments, copper, solder, blades and wet and dry paper, along with a list of helpful suppliers.
