We are delighted to welcome our new Director Anna Vermehren. Anna takes over from Kati Clark who was in post with Timespan earlier this year.

Anna’s background is in visual arts facilitation and management. Over the last years she has worked as an project manager at Deveron Arts in Huntly, where the town is the venue. Anna holds degrees in Art History, Sociology and Literature and has recently established the Art Reader Network, a collaborative open learning platform. She has a keen interest in the history and heritage of the Scottish Highlands.

“Timespan provides a wealth of culture to the local community and visitors by bridging the arts and heritage and by engaging the community of Helmsdale. I’m delighted to join the team at a time of strong programming and upcoming celebrations in 2013, when we will be commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Clearances in the Strath of Kildonan. I’m very much looking forward to my time here in Helmsdale.”

We wish Anna all the best for her new appointment, and we are looking forward to working with her.
